This early twentieth century antique over-size Lavar carpet is a rarely-found, highly prized piece of artistry with palatial splendor. Its extremely intricate and highly precise design is an impeccably constructed kaleidoscopic view of floral patterns. The elegant sunburst medallion at the center is encircled by meticulously drawn tear drop motifs that radiate outwards and flanked on both sides by pendant lamp motifs, creating a theme of light.

The field is densely decorated with elaborate curvilinear vine scrolls and florals and quarter medallions as corner pieces, each of which is incredibly well detailed and highlighted. The main border features floral cartouches that are filled with floral detail, is equally splendid and adds to the highly constructed quality of design.

The color palette is made up mostly of light and pastel tones such as light pink, powder blue, cerulean blue and light green that are combined with warm and earthy tones such as moss green and madder red.
